Competes through brand management, product development, direct customer relationships and foodservice solutions. Recent sales of the whole-bird turkey and Ceratti Brazilian businesses sharpened the focus on value-added products while retaining Jennie-O. Manufacturing depends on owned plants and co-manufacturers; key inputs include pork, turkey, beef, chicken and nuts, with exposure to commodity costs, livestock disease, food-safety rules, major retailers and outside suppliers.
