Profile

Virgin Galactic Holdings, Inc.SPCEIndustrials

Runs a runway-launched SpaceShip system for private astronauts and research missions, following a short commercial season with VSS Unity. The business is rebuilding around Delta-class vehicles intended to restore commercial operations.

Builds and operates a runway-launched air-and-space vehicle system serving private individuals, researchers and professional astronauts from Spaceport America. Flights take off and land on a runway; the model is neither orbital transport nor a satellite-launch service.

Commercial service began after years of testing and a material prototype accident. VSS Unity later completed its final commercial flight, ending its commercial season. The listed parent entered public markets through a SPAC merger, not a conventional operating-company IPO.

Work now centers on Delta-class vehicles, with testing and commercial-service timing remaining management targets. The business depends on next-generation vehicle development and testing, capital requirements, and financing availability.
