Profile

Textron Inc.TXTIndustrials

Sells Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft, Bell rotorcraft, Textron Systems defense products, Kautex automotive systems, specialized vehicles and related aftermarket services, with captive financing supporting aircraft purchases. Aviation and defense anchor the portfolio as management pursues a sale or separation of the Industrial segment.

Builds and services Cessna and Beechcraft business jets, turboprops, piston aircraft and military trainers through Textron Aviation, with Pipistrel light aircraft now folded into the segment. Bell supplies military and commercial helicopters, tiltrotors, parts and support, while Textron Systems provides unmanned aircraft, armored vehicles, marine craft, weapons, simulation systems and Lycoming engines.

Extends aircraft sales through global parts, maintenance and training networks, while Finance primarily funds purchases of Textron Aviation aircraft and Bell helicopters. Industrial combines Kautex automotive systems with E-Z-GO, Cushman, Jacobsen and aviation ground-support vehicles; management is pursuing a sale or separation of that segment. A North America-centered manufacturing footprint serves customers worldwide, with results tied to aircraft demand, aviation certification, defense appropriations and major military programs.
