Profile

United Community Banks, Inc.UCBFinancials

Takes deposits and makes commercial, residential and consumer loans across six Southeastern states, supplemented by mortgage banking, wealth management and nationwide government-guaranteed small-business lending. Navitas equipment finance remains in the group under a pending sale agreement.

Operates a relationship-focused banking franchise across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, taking deposits and making commercial, residential and consumer loans. Mortgage banking, wealth management and nationwide SBA and USDA lending add fee and interest income; Navitas equipment finance remains part of the group pending its announced sale.

Pairs local decision-making with centralized products and support, and has expanded through acquisitions and organic growth. The completed Peach State combination deepens the franchise in northern Georgia, while the planned Navitas divestiture concentrates resources on core Southeastern markets.

Revenue is driven mainly by the spread between interest earned on loans and securities and interest paid on deposits, with fees providing a smaller contribution. All activities are reported in a single Community Banking segment and operate under federal and state banking supervision.
