Profile
Produces crude oil, natural gas and LPG through a single exploration-and-production segment. Its operating base is Vaca Muerta in Argentina, where most production, revenue and assets are concentrated.
Operates a single exploration-and-production segment producing crude oil, natural gas and LPG. Its main assets are in Argentina’s Vaca Muerta shale formation, alongside a conventional producing asset in Mexico. Mexico-incorporated ADSs trade on the NYSE under VIST.
Most production, revenue, drilling, proved reserves and assets are in Argentina. The operating platform began with assets acquired from Pampa Energía and Pluspetrol, then expanded through further Vaca Muerta transactions.
Operations therefore depend on Argentina’s economic and political conditions. Regulation, import and export restrictions, exchange controls, export duties, inflation and peso volatility shape the business.
