Wealthfront CorporationWLTHInformation Technology

Provides U.S. clients with automated cash management, passive and direct-indexed investing, securities-backed borrowing, mortgages, and financial planning. Most revenue comes from cash-sweep fees tied to program-bank deposits and asset-based advisory fees, linking results to interest rates, securities markets, and platform assets.

Runs a digital-only U.S. financial platform spanning the Cash Account, Automated Investing, direct indexing, bond and stock investing, Portfolio Line of Credit, Home Lending, college and custodial accounts, and software-based financial planning. Cash balances are swept to program banks, while managed portfolios emphasize passive, tax-aware investing.

Builds services on a proprietary brokerage and technology stack, using automation to deliver account opening, money movement, portfolio management, and support without salespeople or financial advisors. Revenue comes principally from cash-management fees paid through the bank sweep program and asset-based investment-advisory fees; lending contributes a smaller stream.

Operates only in the United States. Results depend on platform asset levels, interest rates, securities markets, program banks and other financial partners, and federal and state oversight of brokerage, advisory, deposit-sweep, and mortgage activities.
