Profile
Produces cigarettes and filtered cigars for third-party brands while selling reduced-nicotine VLN and SPECTRUM research cigarettes. Most revenue comes from contract manufacturing at a single federally licensed U.S. facility, supported by nicotine-control tobacco-plant technology.
Manufactures cigarettes, filtered cigars, and other tobacco products for customer brands, while selling reduced-nicotine VLN cigarettes and SPECTRUM research cigarettes. NASCO runs an automated Mocksville facility, using conventional leaf sourced through third parties and reduced-nicotine leaf from contracted U.S. growers. Sales are primarily to U.S. customers, though contract manufacturing is offered to domestic and international partners.
Generates most revenue from contract-manufacturing agreements, with unit-based pricing and revenue recognized as products are made. Its nicotine-control technology combines licensed and owned tobacco-plant intellectual property, genetic engineering, gene editing, and plant breeding. VLN King and VLN Menthol King hold FDA modified-risk marketing orders with renewal applications under scientific review. The single leased plant supports both proprietary and contract-manufacturing revenue.
