Profile
Provides life insurance, retirement, investment and asset-management solutions, with Transamerica as the largest franchise and the United States as the operating center. Fully owned and partner businesses span Europe, Asia and Latin America while the group reduces non-US holdings and prepares a planned US redomiciliation.
Provides life insurance, retirement, investment and asset-management solutions through a portfolio centered on Transamerica in the United States. Fully owned operations also include the UK and Spain, alongside Aegon Asset Management and Transamerica Life Bermuda.
Uses established insurance and retirement brands to serve individuals and employers, while partnerships extend distribution in Spain, Portugal, China and Brazil. A strategic holding in Dutch insurer a.s.r. preserves exposure to the Netherlands after the former Dutch operating businesses were combined with that company.
The group is reducing its non-US footprint: the agreed UK sale remains pending, while asset-management activities there are excluded. The Bermuda-domiciled parent intends to move its legal seat and head office to the United States and adopt the Transamerica name, subject to approvals.
