Profile
Produces gold from mines and projects across Africa, Australia and the Americas, including Obuasi in Ghana and Sukari in Egypt. Operations combine mine management, redevelopment and portfolio reshaping, while safety, tailings integrity, community relations and host-government security remain core operating dependencies.
Produces gold through a multinational portfolio of mines, redevelopment assets and exploration interests across Africa, Australia and the Americas. The operating base includes Obuasi in Ghana and Sukari in Egypt, which joined the group through the Centamin acquisition.
Combines mine operation with portfolio management: acquired and sold assets across regions, eliminated its hedge book, redeveloped Obuasi and exited its final South African operating mines while retaining an office and secondary listings there.
Output depends on mine safety, ground conditions, tailings integrity, unauthorized-mining control, community relations and host-government security responses. The legal parent is British, while the primary listing and global headquarters are in the United States.
