Profile

Copart, Inc.CPRTIndustrials

Runs online auctions and remarketing for salvage, total-loss, used, and wholesale vehicles, earning mainly transaction and related service fees. Insurance companies supply most vehicles, while a physical yard network handles towing, storage, titles, and release for a global buyer base.

Runs VB3, an online marketplace for damaged, recovered-theft, used, and wholesale vehicles, connecting insurance companies and other sellers with dismantlers, rebuilders, dealers, exporters, and public buyers. Auction and transaction fees drive the agency model; purchased-vehicle resale is used chiefly in the UK and parts of Europe.

Handles towing, storage, title processing, vehicle imaging, sales, and post-auction logistics across a facility network spanning the US and ten international markets. Cash For Cars sources vehicles from consumers, National Powersport Auctions covers motorcycles and other powersports, Purple Wave auctions construction and agricultural equipment, and UK recycling operations dismantle vehicles for reusable parts.

Most processed vehicles come from insurers, while the US produces most revenue. Vehicle supply, yard capacity, catastrophe response, title and buyer-licensing rules, zoning approvals, and environmental requirements shape operations.
