Profile

Precision BioSciences, Inc.DTILHealth Care

Develops ARCUS-based in vivo therapies, with PBGENE-HBV and PBGENE-DMD as lead clinical-stage programs. Its single operating segment focuses on therapeutics following the food-and-agriculture spin-out; Imugene holds global rights to azer-cel and conducts its clinical execution.

Built around the ARCUS gene-editing platform, the company discovers and develops in vivo therapies. Lead clinical-stage programs include PBGENE-HBV and PBGENE-DMD. These programs reflect the company’s narrowed in vivo therapeutic focus.

Operating as a single segment, it concentrates on therapeutic uses of ARCUS, including gene insertion, excision, and elimination. The platform derives from a natural homing endonuclease. Early platform work included crop plants such as corn, soybeans, and cotton.

The food-and-agriculture business was spun out as Elo Life Systems, while clinical execution of the azer-cel cancer program moved to Imugene. When the Prevail collaboration ended, programs returned for independent development or new partnerships.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
