Profile
Distributes automotive replacement parts through NAPA, UAP, Alliance Automotive Group, and GPC Asia Pacific, while Motion supplies industrial maintenance parts and services. A global branch-and-distribution network links suppliers with repair shops, fleets, manufacturers, and retail buyers as the automotive and industrial groups prepare to become separate public companies.
Distributes automotive replacement parts, accessories, tools, and equipment through North America Automotive and International Automotive. NAPA and UAP serve the United States and Canada; Alliance Automotive Group and GPC Asia Pacific cover Europe and Australasia.
Supplies industrial maintenance and production customers through Motion and Motion Asia Pacific. Bearings, power-transmission and fluid-power components, material-handling products, and repair or automation services move through branches and distribution facilities. Broad inventories and local fulfillment help limit customer downtime.
Automotive demand tracks vehicle use and maintenance; industrial demand follows manufacturing activity and capacity utilization. Product availability depends on suppliers, logistics, and inventory systems. The planned separation of Global Automotive and Global Industrial remains subject to board, regulatory, and SEC conditions.

Ownership
A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
