Profile
Writes residential and commercial title insurance through underwriting subsidiaries, with a smaller exchange-services segment for tax-deferred real-property transactions. Operations are concentrated in selected U.S. states, especially in the eastern half of the country.
Title Insurance is the core segment, written through Investors Title Insurance Company and National Investors Title Insurance Company for residential and commercial owners and mortgage lenders. Exchange Services handles tax-deferred real-property exchange work through Investors Title Exchange Corporation and Investors Title Accommodation Corporation.
Policies are written directly and through agents in selected states, with activity primarily in the eastern half of the United States and meaningful concentration in North Carolina and Texas. Smaller agency-management, investment-management, and trust activities sit outside the two reportable segments.
Execution depends on service quality, transaction expertise, technology, agent relationships, and regulatory permission to write title insurance state by state. The business is shaped by real-estate transaction volume and by competition from larger national title insurers.
