Profile

Live Oak Bancshares, Inc.LOBFinancials

Originates specialized small-business and commercial loans nationwide, including SBA 7(a) and USDA-guaranteed products, and funds them largely with customer deposits. Net interest income is supplemented by sales and servicing of guaranteed loan portions within a single banking segment.

Provides nationwide small-business banking through industry-focused lenders and a technology-based platform. Small Business Banking originates SBA 7(a), USDA-guaranteed, and conventional loans across selected verticals, while Commercial Banking finances areas such as renewable energy and sponsor finance. Savings, certificates of deposit, and business deposits fund the loan book.

Pairs sector specialists with digital workflows to move borrowers from proposal through underwriting and closing. Revenue comes mainly from net interest income, supplemented by gains on sales of guaranteed loan portions, servicing income, and smaller wealth-management, government-loan-services, and fintech-investment activities.

Operates as one banking segment across the United States. Loan economics depend on credit performance, deposit pricing, SBA and USDA guarantee programs, and demand for guaranteed loans in secondary markets.
