Profile
Develops Aurora fast-fission powerhouses and plans to sell their electricity and heat under long-term power agreements, while building nuclear-fuel recycling and radioisotope businesses. Commercial power and isotope sales have not begun, leaving deployment dependent on regulatory approvals, nuclear fuel, construction, financing, and customer contracts.
Develops Aurora fast-fission powerhouses to supply electricity and heat through long-term power purchase agreements. The build-own-operate model retains plant ownership instead of licensing reactor designs. Aurora is designed for 15–75 megawatts of electric output and fresh, recycled, or down-blended fuel; related businesses cover fuel fabrication, used-fuel recycling, and radioisotope production.
Combines reactor design, site development, regulatory work, fuel-cycle engineering, and in-house manufacturing. U.S. projects include Aurora at Idaho National Laboratory, a planned Ohio power campus, and the Groves low-power isotope test reactor in Texas, which has reached first criticality.
Commercial power and isotope sales have not begun. Deployment depends on DOE and NRC authorization, fuel access, construction, financing, suppliers, and binding customer contracts; the Idaho Aurora remains in the federal authorization process.
