Profile

Occidental Petroleum CorporationOXYEnergy

Produces oil, NGLs and natural gas across major US basins and international partnerships, supported by gathering, processing, transportation and marketing. Following the OxyChem sale, cash generation is concentrated in upstream operations, while its midstream segment also develops carbon capture and direct air capture projects.

Produces oil, natural gas liquids and natural gas across the Permian and DJ basins, the deepwater Gulf of America, and operations in Algeria, Oman, Qatar and the UAE. The Oil and Gas segment develops these resources, while Midstream and Marketing gathers, processes, transports, stores and sells company and third-party volumes.

Combines large US onshore positions with enhanced-recovery expertise, offshore platforms and long-dated international partnerships. Oxy Low Carbon Ventures, housed in Midstream and Marketing, develops carbon capture, utilization and storage projects and direct air capture through 1PointFive, including STRATOS in Texas.

Following the OxyChem divestiture, results are concentrated in upstream production and related logistics. Earnings depend on oil, NGL and gas prices, transportation and storage spreads, operating performance and permits; carbon-removal projects also face evolving policy, financing and credit-verification requirements.
