Profile
Operates City Bank, a Texas state-chartered community bank offering commercial, retail, mortgage, trust and investment banking services from Lubbock to Houston and into eastern New Mexico. Growth has come through organic branch and lending expansion alongside a series of West Texas bank acquisitions, most recently the 2026 addition of Bank of Houston.
City Bank, the sole banking subsidiary, is a Texas state-chartered institution offering commercial and retail banking, mortgage lending, trust services and investment management to businesses and individuals. Community banking is the company's only reportable segment following the 2023 sale of its insurance agency.
Operations concentrate in West Texas, with additional presence in Dallas, El Paso, the Permian Basin, Bryan/College Station and, after the 2026 acquisition of Bank of Houston, a deepened Greater Houston footprint. A small cross-border branch network extends into eastern New Mexico.
The bank traces its roots to a 1941 West Texas community bank and reached its present form through a series of in-state acquisitions, culminating in a 2019 Nasdaq listing. Growth since has combined organic lending expansion with continued bank M&A.
