SunCoke Energy, Inc.SXCMaterials

Produces metallurgical and foundry coke through Domestic Coke and handles logistics and steel-mill services through Industrial Services. The business is concentrated in the U.S., runs on long-term take-or-pay contracts with integrated steel customers, and expanded in 2025 through Phoenix Global.

Produces metallurgical coke for blast-furnace steelmaking and foundry coke for casted-iron production through Domestic Coke. The operating base is concentrated in U.S. cokemaking plants, with a Brazil facility run for ArcelorMittal Brazil under operating agreements.

Industrial Services adds coal and coke logistics terminals plus Phoenix Global metals-services work at steel-customer sites, including electric-arc-furnace support and international activity. Execution centers on operating industrial facilities under contract, not selling a spot commodity book.

Contracts are centered on long-term take-or-pay coke arrangements with integrated steelmakers, with coal, transportation, and certain operating costs passed through. The business depends on a small customer set, facility reliability, labor agreements, environmental compliance, and the post-Haverhill I asset base.
