Profile
Processes beef and pork, runs a vertically integrated chicken system, and sells branded prepared foods to retail, foodservice, and export customers. International operations are reported separately, while fresh-meat economics depend on livestock availability and input prices.
Processes animal protein and prepared foods through the Beef, Pork, Chicken, Prepared Foods, and International segments. Beef and Pork turn purchased cattle and hogs into boxed, case-ready, and specialty cuts. Chicken runs a fully integrated domestic chain spanning breeding stock, contract farmers, feed, processing, marketing, and transport. Prepared Foods sells frozen and refrigerated products under Tyson, Jimmy Dean, Hillshire Farm, Ball Park, Wright, State Fair, and Aidells.
Sells mainly through U.S. retail and foodservice channels, alongside exports and operations across Asia, Europe, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia. A recent Beef restructuring centers production on a smaller group of central U.S. facilities while ending operations at other sites and pursuing a sale. Beef and Pork depend on livestock supply and prices; Walmart accounts for a substantial share of consolidated sales.
