Profile
Mines limestone and sells crushed and pulverized stone, aggregate, quicklime, hydrated lime, and lime slurry to construction, environmental, steel, and industrial customers. A single U.S. operating segment serves regional markets from plants and distribution facilities across six states, supplemented by Barnett Shale royalty and non-operated gas interests.
Mines and processes limestone into crushed and pulverized stone, aggregate, quicklime, hydrated lime, and lime slurry for construction, environmental treatment, steel, roofing, agriculture, oil and gas services, and other industrial uses. Plants and distribution facilities span Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. Integrated quarries, mines, kilns, slurry facilities, and truck-and-rail logistics convert locally sourced stone into customer-ready forms for nearby U.S. markets.
Operates as a single lime-and-limestone segment, supplemented by royalty and non-operated working interests in Barnett Shale natural gas wells. Regional economics reflect freight costs that are high relative to product value; demand tracks construction and industrial activity, while production depends on limestone reserves, energy and transportation availability, mine-safety rules, environmental permits, and reclamation requirements.
