Profile

Fifth Third BancorpFITBFinancials

Provides consumer and small-business banking, commercial lending and payments, and wealth management across a broad U.S. footprint. Interest income from loans and securities is complemented by fees from payments, capital markets, mortgage banking, and investment services; the Comerica combination adds a substantial middle-market franchise in Texas and California.

Runs three reportable businesses: Commercial Banking, Consumer and Small Business Banking, and Wealth and Asset Management. Lending and securities generate interest income, funded largely by deposits, while commercial payments, capital markets, mortgage banking, and investment services add fee revenue.

Serves consumers, small businesses, and commercial clients through branches and digital channels spanning the Midwest, Southeast, Texas, Arizona, and California. Digital account acquisition and analytical marketing support expansion into newer markets; Newline extends commercial payments beyond the branch network. The Comerica combination added a large middle-market franchise and broadened the western footprint.

Earnings depend on loan and deposit pricing, credit performance, and interest-rate movements. Integrating Comerica remains a major operating task, and the bank is subject to U.S. capital, liquidity, deposit insurance, consumer protection, and supervisory requirements.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
