Profile

Genesco Inc.GCOConsumer Discretionary

Sells footwear and accessories through mall-based and online stores under four brand groups — Journeys, Schuh, Johnston & Murphy, and a licensed-wholesale label business — spanning the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland, with sales concentrated in Journeys' youth-oriented sneaker and streetwear assortment.

Runs a mall-and-e-commerce footwear retail business built around four brand groups: Journeys, a youth-culture sneaker and streetwear chain; Schuh; Johnston & Murphy, premium men's footwear; and a licensed-wholesale unit.

Journeys, Johnston & Murphy, and the Little Burgundy chain concentrate in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada; Schuh covers the United Kingdom and Ireland; wholesale licenses reach outside retailers more broadly.

Journeys' results track teen and young-adult sneaker and streetwear cycles, and stores still lean on mall traffic even as online sales grow. The wholesale license book turns over regularly: a new multi-year Dockers agreement and a Wrangler license replace an exiting Levi's license.

A contested board election is set for 2026, with the Radoff-Jumana investor group seeking two director seats against the incumbent slate.
