Profile
Produces olefins, polyethylene, polypropylene, intermediate chemicals, oxyfuels and engineered polymer compounds, while licensing process technologies and selling catalysts. An integrated global footprint feeds much of its chemical output into downstream products, leaving results tied to petrochemical cycles, feedstock costs and plant reliability.
Produces olefins, polyethylene and polypropylene through Olefins and Polyolefins-Americas and Olefins and Polyolefins-Europe, Asia, International. Intermediates and Derivatives adds propylene oxide, oxyfuels and acetyls, while Advanced Polymer Solutions supplies compounds, engineered plastics, masterbatches, composites and colors. Technology licenses chemical and polyolefin processes and sells catalysts.
Runs an integrated global network in which much of its olefin output feeds internal polymer and derivatives production. Feedstock flexibility, process and catalyst know-how, compounding expertise, and safe, reliable plant operation support execution across commodity and specialty markets.
Shut its Houston refinery and completed the sale of select European olefins and polyolefins sites while retaining Advanced Polymer Solutions in Tarragona. Results remain structurally exposed to petrochemical supply-demand cycles, feedstock and energy costs, global capacity additions, and plant reliability.
