Profile

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc.MPWRInformation Technology

Designs analog and mixed-signal power semiconductors and integrated power solutions for data centers, computing, vehicles, communications, consumer electronics, and industrial equipment. Revenue spans diverse end markets, but most sales are to customers in Asia and production relies on third-party foundries and assembly-and-test partners.

Designs analog and mixed-signal power semiconductors and integrated power solutions that convert, regulate, control, and protect electricity inside electronic systems. Product families include DC-to-DC and AC-to-DC converters, power-management ICs, driver MOSFETs, current-limit switches, and lighting controls for enterprise data, storage and computing, automotive, communications, consumer, and industrial applications.

Combines system-level engineering with proprietary semiconductor-process, packaging, and integration technologies to fit more power-management functions into compact chips and modules. Technical sales and applications engineers help customers design products into equipment; sales then flow mainly through distributors and value-added resellers. Most revenue comes from customers in Asia, while employees and sales offices span Asia, Europe, and the United States. Manufacturing remains fabless, with third-party wafer foundries and assembly-and-test subcontractors concentrated across Asia.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
