Overview
Atlantic Equities distributed research from London and organized events connecting US management teams with European investors. Its 2023 merger with Redburn doubled the US stock coverage available to Redburn clients and expanded that available to Atlantic clients by about 40%. Atlantic said it limited product distribution to offerings suited to clients' needs.
Atlantic Equities was set up in London in September 2003 by a team from Cazenove's US equities group and operated as a partnership. In August 2023 it merged its operations with Rothschild & Co-owned Redburn to form Redburn Atlantic, a transatlantic broker with more than 90 research analysts. In 2025 Rothschild & Co placed Redburn Atlantic in its new Global Markets Solutions division and rebranded it Rothschild & Co Redburn.

Research philosophy
We also believe our geographical and cultural distinction from Wall Street enables us to offer a valuable alternative to consensus stock selection.
Atlantic Equities specialized in bottom-up research on US companies. In the 2000s, it presented itself as an independent alternative to Wall Street firms with investment banking conflicts. It did no investment banking or corporate finance work and said its research was free of bias linked to securities issuance. The firm sought to distinguish itself through frequent meetings with European investors and research tailored to individual clients.
Rating methodology
It rated stocks Overweight, Neutral or Underweight relative to the other stocks in each analyst's coverage over the next 12 months.
