Overview

As of 2026, the firm has more than 80 analysts covering over 550 stocks. Following the Atlantic Equities merger, coverage is split roughly evenly between Europe and the U.S., with analysts for both regions based in London.

Redburn was founded in London in 2003 by a team including Jeremy Evans, formerly head of UK and European equities at Fleming, as an independent research and agency broker. Rothschild & Co bought a minority stake in 2019, took control at the end of 2022 and full ownership in 2023. That year Redburn merged with US-equity broker Atlantic Equities to form Redburn Atlantic, rebranded Rothschild & Co Redburn in June 2025.

Research philosophy

Redburn Atlantic's aim is to help our customers make successful investments based on deeper industrial expertise, greater attention to timing and more creative idea generation.
Redburn Atlantic website (2025)

Redburn says its research culture gives analysts time to develop detailed industry knowledge, financial models and custom datasets. As of 2026, reports appear when analysts believe publication is warranted, rather than on a fixed schedule. Its IDEAS tool combines value, growth and quality measures with trends in earnings estimates to help identify stocks that look cheap but may continue to underperform.

Rating methodology

Over a one-year horizon, Buy indicates an expected share-price gain of at least 15%, Sell indicates an expected decline, and Neutral covers the range in between.
