Profile

The Andersons, Inc.ANDEConsumer Staples

Merchandises grain, feed ingredients, and other commodities; operates elevators; and manufactures and distributes plant nutrients through Agribusiness. Renewables produces ethanol and co-products at four Midwestern plants and trades biofuel feedstocks, tying results to crop flows, fertilizer demand, commodity spreads, and renewable-fuel policy.

Merchandises corn, wheat, soybeans, feed ingredients, and other physical commodities through Agribusiness, which also operates grain elevators and manufactures, distributes, and retails plant nutrients. Its network is centered in the United States and Canada, with additional merchandising operations abroad, earning trading, logistics, elevation, and storage margins from growers and end users.

Produces ethanol and co-products at four Midwestern plants through Renewables and trades ethanol, co-products, and renewable feedstocks. Physical grain origination, storage, risk management, and logistics serve external customers and the fuel plants, linking the two segments. Results depend on harvest volumes, commodity basis and spreads, seasonal fertilizer demand, corn and fuel prices, plant utilization, and renewable-fuel mandates and tax policy.
