Profile

Great Southern Bancorp, Inc.GSBCFinancials

Operates Great Southern Bank, a single banking segment focused on real estate, construction, commercial business, and consumer lending funded by deposits and wholesale borrowings. Its footprint is concentrated in Missouri and nearby states, with commercial lending offices in larger U.S. metro markets.

Operates through Great Southern Bank, its sole reportable banking segment. The bank originates residential and commercial real estate loans, construction loans, commercial business loans, and consumer loans, then funds them through public deposits, brokered deposits, and Federal Home Loan Bank and other borrowings.

Rooted in Springfield, Missouri, the franchise serves customers primarily across Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Arkansas. Commercial lending offices extend the reach into larger metro markets including Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Omaha, and Phoenix.

Built from a 1923 savings-and-loan origin, the company expanded through charter changes and FDIC-assisted acquisitions. The business depends on local banking competition, deposit pricing and availability, and a loan book with heavy commercial real estate and multifamily exposure.
