Operations center on Mexico and Brazil, with Mexican exports reaching the United States, Central and South America and Europe; limited U.S. commercial activity is supplied from Mexico.

Combines electric-arc mini-mills with integrated steelmaking assets and emphasizes cost improvement, higher-value products, customer relationships, acquisitions and reinvestment in capacity and efficiency. Competition turns on price, quality, delivery responsiveness, freight and, for special bar quality steel, chemistry, processing precision and customer certification. Demand follows construction, automotive and industrial markets, while scrap, energy, trade remedies, labor arrangements and Industrias CH/Vigil family control are ongoing operating dependencies.
