SmartFinancial, Inc.SMBKFinancials

Runs a Southeast community bank offering deposits, commercial and consumer loans, treasury management, investment products, and equipment finance. A loan book led by commercial real estate is funded chiefly by customer deposits, while interest-rate spreads drive revenue and tie performance to rates, local property markets, and banking regulation.

Operates SmartBank across Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, providing deposits, treasury management, commercial and consumer loans, residential mortgages, and investment products. Fountain Equipment Finance adds heavy-equipment loans and leases for small and midsize businesses across the Southeast.

Builds local business relationships through senior management and bank officers who know their markets, while applying rigorous credit standards. Interest earned on loans and securities, less deposit and borrowing costs, drives most revenue; fees from banking and investment services supplement that spread income.

Commercial real estate is the largest loan class, alongside commercial and industrial, construction, residential, consumer, and equipment finance exposures. Deposits provide the principal funding for loans and leases, while performance remains sensitive to interest rates, regional property conditions, and federal and Tennessee banking supervision.
